A Secret Play Date
Every Tuesday.

Switching up.
I'm tired today.
Or, rather, I anticipate being tired today.
I'm writing this a day ahead, knowing that traveling to NY in the snow to get my picture taken by Kylie (highly recommended!), followed by a Very Stressful Appointment on Monday will likely lead to Tired Maryann on Tuesday.
But it is Tuesday, Secret Play Date day, and I am hanging out in the underground lair with my Society pals,* so the Play Date must go on!
One thing I know: there are things I'd hope to have done by now that are not in fact done.
One of which is to choose five of Kylie's photos to be keepers.
Another thing I know: I still want Play Practice -- giving myself permission to just play -- to make art for its own sake.
So I'm going switch from one to the other, layering work tasks with the playing, like a layer cake.
And the playing part? It'll be using the Sketchbook app to draw, paint, and collage on my own photos -- maybe the ones at left.

You can check in here in the comments or on the Secret Play Date page on Facebook to let us know how you're doing, and give a yay for the people who are joining in.
You could post it on twitter with the #secretplaydate hashtag.
You don't have to share, though.
You could note it in your journal, or whisper it to the cat, and still feel the glow of being part of a group that does things a little differently for an hour every Tuesday.
And if you're not sure where to start, there's always the Secret Play Date DIY Kit.
Could you use a little Play-Dating today?
And pssst: you can still Play-Date and check in with us, even if it's not Tuesday anymore.
